Now, each customer gets even more features, regardless of their hosting plan. The enhancements listed below have been provided automatically and for free to all SiteGround users. Enjoy!
StartUp: Free Backup Restores
Our daily backup has always been one of the most appreciated features. Many site management mishaps are resolved easily and quickly through our one-click restore tool. To avoid hassle and additional expenses in already stressful moments, we now provide the restore option for free to all users, including our StartUp accounts.
GrowBig: Staging Tool & On-demand Backups
All WordPress and Joomla sites hosted on a GrowBig plan can now take advantage of our staging tool. GrowBig users can now create a working copy with a click whenever an important site edit is planned and test all changes before uploading them to avoid any issues with their live site.
Another feature that our GrowBig users now receive for free is the option to create their own backup copies on-demand. If working on a staging environment seems like too much of a hassle for some smaller changes, you can still enjoy peace of mind by creating a backup copy just before you start making these changes.
GoGeek & Higher: Advanced Priority Support
We have added a new rule about how inquiries by our GoGeek, Cloud and Dedicated Server customers are assigned to our support agents. Now, their inquiries initiated on chat or ticket are assigned with priority to our most experienced support agents available. This ensures an exceptional quality and speed of the technical support provided to our premium users.

Switching from bluehost to siteground was a godsend for both my sites (and businesses). When I finally decided to migrate my first site, https://3rdgenpainting.com/ from bluehost to siteground, I couldn't believe how easy the whole process was with the new siteground migration plugin. It. Just. Worked. -Being a long-time bluehost customer, I was not used to this new feeling of things working how they're supposed to. I was fascinated. Furthermore, I started noticing after a week or two that my site was now significantly better, faster and dare I say, stronger (?). I'm a SEO nut so when I started see my rankings skyrocket after the move I decided that migrating site #2 was a no-brainer. (And yes I know sitespeed and SEO coorelate but honestly it was such a big difference that it had to be more than just that). I migrate over site number two https://sophiascleaning.net/ over to siteground from bluehost and what do you know, this time my rankings legit went up overnight (tracking using ahrefs and semrush both). Yup, my DR went from 3.4 - 4.5 over night. If that all wasn't enough they have a server in my hometown of Chicago. I'm sure that has something to do with the event described above but you guys keep doing what your doing and you've got a customer and countless referrals for life. Hi Allison, The staging tool has always been part of the GoGeek package along with other advanced features like Git integration, PCI compliance and more. With the recent feature upgrade, we made it available for our GrowBig customers as well.

Does Siteground support everything needed for ViewShark streaming? And, do you allow month to month? The reason i ask, is, because some companies are very difficult to get refunds from, if their hosting is not what they say it is. thank you.

Our servers are not optimized for video streaming. That's a speciffic service, different from web hosting. If you're embedding videos hosted elsewhere that's ok but streaming directly from our servers is not something I can recommend.

These are most welcomed updates. Now it makes those 2 other plans a better choice and an easier sell to our clients. Thank you! I hope that under the celebratory spirit I may succeed to get another update from you... ... if only you would also increase the SiteGround's max_execution_time as it's currently set to 120 which is too low and I'm having a hard time. For example WPMUDEV's Snapshot Pro backup solution fails. According to them "A minimum execution time of 150 seconds is recommended to give the migration process the best chance of succeeding." Please consider increasing this limit at least on the higher tier plans GoGeek and GrowBig. Many thanks in advance !

With regard to the max_execution_time setting on our servers, we would like to clarify that it is in place to ensure that all accounts on the shared hosting environment, which your GoGeek plan uses as well, get equal portion of the server resources and to prevent the possibility of the actions of one user to impact negatively the other accounts. In our experience so far a limit of 120 has proven more than sufficient for a website's day-to-day operations. We suggest you submit a ticket regarding the issue you have encountered with WPMUDEV Snapshot Pro backup so our techs can investigate it further and find a fix so you can use it on your account.

I love Siteground, haven't regretted since changing. My only issue is the 4,000 MB email limit. Wish it was unlimited like some other hosts!

Please note the term unlimited email in the context of a shared hosting plan is not accurate as the available resources are not infinite and they are constrained by the parameters of the machine and technologies powering the server hosting the account. Therefore even providers that advertise this feature have mechanisms to monitor usage and apply restrictions on email storage if needed. We aim to be transparent about our services and include the information about the allocated email resources for your account in advance as our goal is to ensure fair usage of the server resources among all accounts hosted there.

Nice update i like priority support but i feel for gogeek automatic malware scanner and automatic malware removal should be included after all it's the premium plan and deserves enhanced security.

I second that, free malware scanner on GoGeek would be a nice free extra. While a 60% discount when signing up was very generous, when the time comes to renew, having such extras might make the significantly higher price of renewal worth it.

With regard to regular prices, we always aim to provide value with our services and we constantly add new technologies and tools to improve the experience for our clients. Just last week we announced that Quic protocol is already running on our servers making websites load faster even with a slower internet connection.

It is a very good and impressive news. I had been SiteGround's customer for over 2 years since June 2016. Then, I switched to another company because of quite high renewal prices. Hello Lilyana, thanks for the updates, but still something is not clear: at this page I read that we have 5 free copies available for backup https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/cpanel/backup-creation/ For GrowBig accounts, it means that after we made 5 backups for whatever reason (not only in staging, right?) the additional backup copies are to be paid? Hello Angelo, all the information in the tutorial applies only for the backup copies made trough this particular on-demand backup tool. It allows keeping a maximum of 5 manual backups at a time. If you already have 5, you cannot create additional ones. There is no paid option to create a 6th one. You need to delete one of the existing on-demand backup in order to create new manual backup through this tools.

Right now, all our regular plans are using Apache with NGINX infront of it working as a reverse proxy for our caching systems. NGINX-only configurations are available only for our enterprise customers.

I would love to see elastic memory to cater for spikes that can't be explained. Currently they cause your server to crash, rather than support occassional spikes. Siteground are fantastic, this is my only criticism. If they did this, then they cover every base for me.
